A stunning hidden gem on the west bank of Loch Awe. Osprey and Oak Log Cabins are located in Loch Aweside Forest Park on the edge of Inverliever  Forest, adjacent to the friendly village of Dalavich in Argyll, Scotland.

By Plane:

Glasgow Airport: Leave Glasgow Airport and take the M8 north to junction 30 to join the M898 across the Erskine Bridge. After crossing the bridge turn left onto the A82 where a wonderful drive takes you up the side of Loch Lommond to Crainlarich where you Join the A85 towards Oban until you reach Taynuilt. Follow 'By Car' directions from Taynuilt below.  Journey time approx. 2h20m.

Edinburgh Airport: When exiting the airport head west on Glasgow Road to the M9. Follow the M9 to Stirling when you take the exit for the A84. Keep on the A84 to Lochearnhead where it becomes the A85 heading towards Oban. You will enjoy the amazing scenery of Loch Lommond and the Trossachs National Park. Follow the signs for Oban, when reaching Taynuilt follow 'By car' directions below. Journey time approx. 2h50m.

By Car: (preferable but not essential)

Accessed from the A85 to Oban you turn south on the B845 at Taynuilt towards Kilchrenan/Dalavich where a spectacular 15 mile drive winds you through the most amazing countryside, turning right at Annat you parallel the Loch and the views tease you as you get closer to the peaceful retreat of Loch Aweside and The Cabins, Loch Awe.

By public transport:

The nearest train station from Dalavich is Taynuilt, where daily services run to/from Glasgow Queen Street Station to Oban. A bus service connects Oban to Dalavich 3 times a day stopping at Taynuilt on the way. The Cabins, Loch Awe are a 5 minute walk from the bus stop. The bus service also allows you to access Oban and the ferries to the islands for day trips.
